Marc_Gonzalez

Here’s Marc Teicholz, who came by to play some of the Cleveland collection guitars, playing an excerpt from the 2nd movement of Clarice Assad’s new concerto for guitar and orchestra called O Saci-Pererê which Marc will be premiering next week (click here for more info). Marc is playing an amazing 1876 Francisco Gonzalez. Gonzalez was a contemporary of Torres and though he is not as well known this guitar yields nothing to the great Torres guitars of the same period.

Hello! I like too much the videos… Could you tell me which kind of microphone is used?
    Very Thanks.

In the hands of this wonderful player it sounds very sweet. (Apart from very obvious intonation problems typical for guitars of this age).

I’d also be interested to learn about the microphone used in this recording…

We used a pair of Neumann km84’s and an AKG 451 with a ck 28 capsule for this recording.
    Cheers,
    Kai
