What is the deal with James Adams' abundant posts about electronic items that he has for sale?

Is this a guitar forum or just anyone's personal "Craigs List"??

I may be wrong, but it seems to be inappropriate.

Of course it's inappropriate. It's called spam and it doesn't belong anywhere.

As soon as I see this stuff, I remove the threads and ban the user. It's the best I can do when it's a real person causing the problem. We're pretty safe against "bots" and automated spammers, though.
