ForoFlamenco bites the dust

Looks like ForoFlamenco has officially shut down.

hope to keep in touch with as many of the members/friends there
as i can.

One of my favorite forums ever. A sad sad day.

yes the foro shutting down was a huge shock and loss to me. i learned more about flamenco (and the people there) than from any other source.

it was a great community of people that i checked into almost every day, like checking my watch or the weather.

I feel exactly the same about this Forum, both in terms of learning and addiction and the community; i would too be devastated should this GSI Forum ever draw to an end its cyber curtains.

Todd is making a fine effort with his new Forum, and am trying to oblige him with the occasional post, but can't help wondering why aren't we all in one Forum, perhaps on different threads?

I do not rememebr this Forum ever inhibiting freedom of speech (not that you would need such leeway anyhow on a guitar forum), except of course when conversation unproductively became confrontation; and even then it was not GSI but the members who sought the administrator's intercession to calm the agitated spirits and lock the theater of hostility.

It's all about GSI Forum. Let's cherish it as we appreciate how much we would miss it if it were no more..... :-(

Yeah baby! Back online! So glad.

Though i must say again, i love GSI forum equally. Lotsa great discussions
and friends here.
And the guitar i bought from GSI is one of the best ive ever owned.

Things have been slowing down in just about every forum I know of, unfortunately this one included, I have to admit. However, it has been anything BUT quiet behind the scenes, and I expect this forum will be bumpin' again before long.

Within a few weeks, we'll have a super-slick new site, and the forum won't be hidden anymore. Sit tight everyone!

anyways...the forum is 'sort of' back.
its now Old school Flamenco and i had to re-resign up. They recently just changed Foro, then stopped it to make this new one. Forums come and go with popularity...it'll get busier don't fear.
