I have been wondering how one goes about memorizing falsetas. Having played classical guitar and different instruments before, I got into the habit of just sight-reading and familiarizing myself with a piece.
Now with solo flamenco guitar, (Im not tapping into working with a cantaor or a dancer yet)
How does one go about this? Do you...
Just keep playing a piece over and over until it sinks in?
or work on say a falseta at a time and connect them later?
best way to is to have a mean spirited dancer practice with ya...........................she'll just smack ya in da head with her shoe whenever you break beat..............
OF course then again...............when playing "Solo" ya don't have to worry about that and can bend the rules a lil' if YOU want....;)................<shhhh!!............ya didn't hear dat from me!!)............heheheeee
On the other hand .............starting with getting the chord rhythm done real strong first and then start adding in lil'falsetas ..............would be a good way to build a strong foundation.
