Just thought I'd throw this out there. It could be in general or specifically related to toque. I'm actually really enjoying seguiriyas right now, especially for the compas which doesn't follow the same sequence as the big three (solea, bulerias, alegrias). 12 12 123 123 12 - I'm really feeling that lately more than the others. Any takers?

I am enjoing Sevillanas right now. However, I think that my favorite is bulerias. It seems that whenever I have a guitar in my hands, the rhythm of bulerias is the first thing I start to noodle around with, after tuning up. :)

NGio,

The Spanish girl I had a thing for in Granada tried to teach me how to dance Sevillanas. I felt like a complete idiot, so that pretty much turned me off to that palo... maybe I'll rekindle my interest some day.

Peteneras and Solea............as well as a few others.

Danza Mora is fun too..............

i'm with Keith on this one............deep, dark and lamenting are my favs.......

Definitely anything "Toque Libre" as it's "Solo" guitar orientated.

Anything "Cante Jondo" fer sure..........:cool:

It's kinda like eating Jay's........."You can't just eat one!":mrgreen::lol:

Taranta y Oraciones should be included, while i embrace the statement wholeheartedly. That is what pierces my heart.

Have to say Soleares. Right now I'm trying to learn how to sing Solea. I find the structure and harmony of the guitar accompaniment to the cante really beautiful.

I'll post the obvious and say bulerias. No other palo is more exciting to me.

I'm a pretty traditional player, and play more Morón flamenco than anything else. Those bulerias falsetas from Gastor & company are immensely entertaining, like jokes with great punchlines.

That's my $.02...

I really enjoy Soleares, zapateado, colombianas and guajiras!! Of course the others are all fantastic in their own special way!!

Un saludo, Errol
