Thanks.

Thank you Deteresa. I enjoyed your video, although at times you sound slightly hesitant, wouldn't you say? I really loved the samples of your CD at

Beautiful work. I will buy your CD. Are you with CDBaby, or purchase is just through your website?

Michelob:
Interesting comment, thank you. In the past I have been critiqued for playing Solea too fast, maybe that was me trying to relax and slow it down? I'll try to do some more videos soon (Bulerias, Tangos etc.)
Thanks for the complements!

That may explain the perception i had. However, please do not misunderstand me, you play very well and am looking forward to listening to your CD. btw... i like CDBaby, i am pleased you are on it as well. I already bought Don Soledad and Perfecto's CDs there since meeting them on these pages.
Ciao.
Sounds very good D! Nice falsetas. You mix old and new school very
nicely.
No offense to Mich, but i dont think he has really internalized the compas,
so its tough to follow some of the newer school falsetas.
He's not hesitating Mich. The phrasing is just quite mature, and he lets
the compas breath.
You might want to go get some Riqueni or Chicuelo, maybe some Manolo Franco records, and check out their soleas.
Anyway, nice work!

Very nice Andy! I love some of your falsetas! You should tab them out for us.
Mich - he does play with the tempo quite a bit, but he's still on. As long as it's 100% solo like that, I'd say it's just a matter of taste. Personally, I'm more of a metronome nut whenever possible, but this is perfectly acceptable for a solo solea, IMHO.

Glad to see Todd and Dave intervene on this thread.
I was not referring to tempo or compas. Just simply a general perception of "hesitation" in performing the peice, finding the notes, really. Just a perception which maybe due to the reasons you both kindly illustrated.
I am a great fan of "pauses" hoever, lingering through the edge of timeliness. They add to that sense of restless agitation Vicente Amigo proclaims as being the essence of Flamenco.
I like Deteresa's stuff, and today I am ordering his CD, while searching Todd's suggested titles.
Hasta Luego.

Hey all,
@Mich: No offense taken. I actually don't believe I was "hesitating" per se, but most of these are new falsetas that I'm practicing so they are still somewhat difficult for me.
Thanks to everyone for the comments. You can find tabs of some of my stuff on my website. I will continue tabbing things out as I find time.

deteresa,
Excellant playing, thanks for posting.
Really like your web site, esp. the
falsettas in tab and notation.

I agree with OC. Thanks for sharing your music with the world. It's kind of bothersome when some people want to charge 10 bucks online for a falseta "lesson" that isn't nearly as well transcribed as Andy's. I guess it's the new wave of things, but I really appreciate Andy's old-school generosity.
