I also bought this guitar about 9 months ago. For the price I think it's well made, with a good overall sound. It was certainly the best guitar I tried in this price range. A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to get a 1962 Ramirez 1a for the same price I paid for the Contreras. The difference is night & day. The Ramirez is better balanced, richer and complex, but then it is usually a much more expensive instrument.
