Hi Olly,

as you probably already found out, there are plenty of choices out there. But first things first: do you want to learn flamenco music exclusively? or, are you attracted to classical, or nylon-string music in general? If flamenco is your thing, "Flamenco Guitar: Basic Techniques" by Juan Serrano is one of the most complete methods out there: it covers hand technique as well as the forms and structures of flamenco music. I have also heard that "Play Solo Flamenco Guitar" by Juan Martin is great. On the other hand, if you are looking for a classical guitar method, the books by Frederick Noad or Aaron Shearer are very popular.

In terms of guitars, both Cordoba guitars you mentioned are great. Feel free to give us a call at GSI, and we'll be happy to talk in detail with you about these and other models, and do our best to help you find the right guitar.

Good luck on your search!

Hey, thanks a lot Miguel.

I am serious on flamenco, and because i do not live in USA, I was gonna buy the guitar over here in the uk, and buy a book from ur site, because I am a bit worried about sending a load of money via net, and a guitar is a pretty big thing to send by post (no offense or anyting).

I presume there are GSI Stores in the UK? If so, then I might buy a guitar from this site, if not,t hen I am a little bit worried.

Anyway, thanks for the help on the books. I saw them and wasnt sutre if they were as good as they sounded, but now u have verified that.

Any more replies would be well appreciated...

Thx

Hi Olly,

our offices are indeed in the U.S., but it is quite common for us to ship guitars and accessories overseas. There are certain models/brands that we cannot ship due to international agreements. This will obviously depend on which model you end up choosing, but feel free to contact us and we can easily checkon that.

Let us know how your search goes.

All the best!
