Does anyone out there know where I can find a decent 8 string classical guitar for a reasonable price. I know $8000 could technically be reasonable, but I don't have that kind of money to spend. I'm probobly looking more at the $3500-$4000 range.
I'm 18 years old and have been playing guitar for 5 years now. I'm in a sort of a rut and I want a new instrument to learn, and i've always kind of wanted an 8 string. I think i'm good enough at arranging music to handle it without too much trouble. I'd appreciate any comments.

I think Rod Capper makes them. From what I hear, he is a top-class New Zealand luthier.

hey g.s.i.--sorry for the link to a sales location. normally i would not do that given you folks have opened this forum and have been more than generous in supporting it. i included the link only for the 8 string (i had seen it before) and would not have done so for "normal guitars". that said, i do appreciate your position and again, sorry for that. i guess i gotta use this guy
