i just got off the phone with the man who made sabicas' strings--the guy knew sabicas starting when sabicas first came to america with carmen amaya. the strings still exist --new ones at that. oh what someone could give for the used ones. as neo from the matrix would say--whoa!
for you classical folks, if you want a receipe for one sabicas here it is:
take a john williams (technique) add an albeniz (compostion) and mix with a metronome (timing/compas) and you get a sabicas. such a bummer he could not have pulled off a dorian gray in his prime.
