Has anyone out there tried the so called Guitar Principles by Jamie Andreas? http://www.guitarprinciples.com/index.html I was told that is a very good tool for self taught players, but I am a bit skeptical about it. With school, family and in general, life getting in the way of my guitar playing, I am forced to pretty much be self taught and I am in need of good practice techniques. I currently use the Frederick Noad "Solo Guitar Playing" book, which is a great tool, but sometimes I need help with technical issues. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

never heard of this person and went to the site. the pictures of people playing guitar showed something that may be problematic: everyone was playing a steel string guitar. in one picture a pick was shown--how gross and offensive can a picture be? (just joking). although there are similaries with classical guitar, there are huge differences--and these differences will be an issue somewhere down the road.
it seems the pumping nylon series may be the way to go if you prefer nlyon under those fingertips. with pumping nylon you get book, cd, dvd/video designed for those who play classical. check out the discussions in this forum about pumping nylon --definitely the way to go.
the only thing lacking in the pumping nylon series--a t-shirt and/or bumpersticker. it would be so cool to drive around with a bumpersticker that says: PUMP NYLON 8)

So, Keith, I see an opportunity here. Let's get some made! Bumper stickers and t-shirts! :P

The K.I.S.S. guide to playing guitar is pretty good if you are looking for a simple guide that works.
