I am purchasing a new instrument and have narrowed the field (hopefully) to a Manuel Contreras N-4 , or an Alhambra India Luthier Model...both with cedar tops. If any one is using or has used these guitars....I would like an opinion. Thanks
I believe the N-4 is made in the Contreras shop as opposed to the other student models which are made elsewhere. If that helps, Rick
I have played the N-4 and it was nice. As for Alhambra I know they are more of a factory made guitar and some of them are very nice also. The important thing is which one feels and plays better to you.Good luck and Pleasent musical journeys.

I recently was torn between the N-4 and Bernabe 30. I went with the Bernabe 30 as it had a warmer sound (to my ear) as I was looking for a dark, warm sound. I used to have a C-4 (sp top though) it was a very good guitar so you can't go wrong w/ Contreras.
