I have a 1973 Mitsuru Tamura guitar. The guitar number is 800, the inside label is signed and contains the words 'Asahimachi-Kochi'. I'm hoping there is someone out there who is proficient in 'Tamura' and could help me determine it's value. Anu help would be greatly appreciated.

Mitsuru Tamura is a Japanese maker; you already knew that. His guitars are (were) hand made in a small shop in Japan. I believe he had several assistants, but it was never a high output factory. What appear to be guitar numbers are actually model numbers, the 800 is one of his models. I've owned 3 Tamuras over the years, and found them to be dependable workhorse guitars. In top condition, a Tamura should sell for $1500-$1900. That's based on my real-time experiences. Cosmetic damage or repaired cracks lower this value proportionately.
