:D watch the video of romero... notice he can play the scale quite fast
wat is the trick ?
i noted he bend the right hand "a" finger and last finger inward, while he was using the i and m finger to play scale on rest strokes...
i try it... it Works ! 8)
may be u need sometime to get used to it... but it make sense tat by bending the finger "a" and last fingers, u have more strength and better control on i and m finger to play rest strokes...
please try and share your comment...

On a similar and maybe related note, when learning to do Rasgueados my instrcutor told me to pull the 'm' and 'a' fingers into my palm as I was doing the downstroke with the 'i', especially if I was following it up with an upstroke with the 'i'. It took a few weeks of practice before I could really see the advantage.

Perhaps the two techniques have a similar physical basis?

Being a speed demon, I will certainly give it a go. You can never play to fast, you know ;-)

Playing air guitar, it looks like there may need to be some stretching of the tendons that needs happen place before it becomes a natural motion.

The down side of this technique is that it takes longer to get the 'a' finger back into play, whcih is OK most of the time, but would not be suitable for some passages.
