Who has read this book?

i'm keen to buy this book..."A Collection of Fine Spanish Guitars from Torres to the Present" available in GSI... anyone of you have this book or read it before ...? :roll: any comment if this is a good buy... the new one seems expensive... if you have a used copy, i might be interested also..

if it is the sheldon urlik book you are referencing, i have seen it and it is a very cool book. definitely a great book for waiting out a snow storm.....oops, they do not have those in singapore. :wink: you will love it. i would definitely love to have it but them damn snow shovels cost money.

one book you should definitely get in addition the one above is "the classical guitar complete history". i bought it when it was hard bound at $75 and now it is in paperback for $29.95. it has some great articles, very good stories about each guitar, and mind blowing pictures. what is truly awe inspiring-- russell cleveland apparently owns these guitars--or at least they are in his collection. there has to be about a half to one million dollars worth of guitars in this book. well worth the $75 and definitely worth the $29.95.

I completely agree. I have both of these books and love them dearly. The photography in both of them is stunning and the descriptions are very entertaining. Unfortunately for me, I have only the softbound edition of "The Classical Guitar Complete History, but at $30 it's a great value.

If you can afford it, get both. If it's one or the other, then you might want to buy the cheaper one first. If you like it, then you'll know that you'll also like the more expensive one once you can afford it.
