I am not talking about the "trick bag" Op 1 No 5 - Caprice in Am, Niccolo Paganini (head cutting duel), this I have and have played for years.
I am looking for the Mozart song played when he was still in school and for his instructor, the one that he ended with the blues ending.
All I know about it is that I believe it was played by a guy named William K. (not sure of last) and could be titled Reprisals of the Turkish March.
It sounded great played on guitar and see very few Mozart songs that crossed over very well. Would love to be able to play it.
Any info would be a great help.
Thanks!

Jonny, the guy you are talking about is William Kanengiser and he is a member of the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet (LAGQ). According to this interview: http://www.guitaralive.org/interviews/WKanengiser.html, the piece he played in the movie is called Turkish March, an arrangement that he did on Rondo Alla Turca. Good Luck.

I just went to Google and searched for "Turkish March" and came up with a sheet of music, but it's for piano. Maybe you can make it work (if you know anything about piano, I sure don't). http://www.sheetmusicusa.com/piano/advance/advhtml/turkish1.htm
Here is in tab: http://www.jpreason.com/music/turk.htm

Johnny,
You can find the sheet music and William's recording of that piece and more here. By the way I think the CD is some of the best playing I've ever heard. :D
Sonata K.331 in A Major (with Rondo alla Turka)

His recording of it is here:

Thanks adrian, useful info.
My father asked what I wanted for a stocking stuffer. I told him the Segovia Box set and this CD.
Order placed.
Thanks again.

Jonny,
You'll enjoy the box set. Some of the best sounding of Segovia's work I've heard.
Did you find the Turkish March tab yet? It on weeds guitar page. URL http://alt.venus.co.uk/weed/music/classtab/welcome.htm

Thanks Scott, I am looking forward to getting my hands on both the box set and the William K CD, it is a real pain to try and find these songs on file sharing programs.
And I know the weed index very well.
I am listed in the credits of contributors near the bottom.
(Don’t tell anyone!)

Not to sound preachy here folks, but I would encourage everyone to purchase recordings whenever possible, rather than acquiring a free copy. Many of our favorite guitarists sell few recordings relative to other musical styles, and it only makes it harder for them to record again when we don't purchase them. :(

Thats right adrian and that is why GSI should start selling MY cd's!!!!
All joking aside I downloaded many songs only because I could never find a good scorce to locate CD's, you would always have to end up S.O.ing from a music store and then the album might suck. I must admit that GSI has the most impressive collection of classical guitar CD's I have seen, and it is nice to know that there are people that have heard the disc they sell.
This is why I ordered from you guys.

Johnny,
That's true, we do carefully screen everything which crosses our desks for carrying in our store. All of the CDs we sell, we like. I also try to make sure you can sample tracks from each CD.

GSI
