Hi all.
I absolutely adore J.S Bach's Prelude # 1 for the Well tempered clavier, in C Major. Bmv 846, I believe. It is a beautiful tune, and you can see it played on Michael Chapdelaine's website.
I am looking for the sheet music to this piece. I have come across countless tabs, and a couple of transcriptions arranged to D. I adore it in its orginal key of C, starting with an arpeggio in the open position.
I was going to arrange it myself, but a suitable arrangement would have to be out there somewhere. Hopefully, downloadable and free - but if I can find it and its the right one I'm after, I'll have it imported.
I don't want any tab - I don't need it. It's in C Major and a fairly easy, continous rhythm. Waste of ink!
Any help, links or whatever you guys can find, please let me know.

Are you sure it is in open C?

Yes, definitely. And yes, the fingerings are tough...

Hmmm, Thank you, I might look into it
Anyone else?
seow: In reply to your response to me regarding the above (my email to you was returned). First of all what does the set cost you, plus postage? You can put up a list of things you would want, plus postage. and make individual deals with prospective traders.
Or we could have one individual act as an agent and take orders from everyone here and collect all the money and let you know how many sets we need and add up what that would amount to and let you choose an item for that amount of money to be shipped to you.

I thought I'd got lucky, and the sheet was sourced.
You do know how to start a new topic don't you, bob?

This is surely one of my most favourite tunes, of all time.
I have gone through half of it already, with more enthusiasm than I can ever remember with any other new piece before it. Such an addictive motif, you'd have to say it was just meant for the guitar... except for the challenging fingerings.
Mind you, I have huge fingers, and the chord shapes have caused very little trouble so far.
Thanks all.

Sseow,
I have seen this transcription before. It is in the key of D.
The one in C by parkening, almost identical to that of Michael Chapdelaine on his website, is much more pleasant sounding, to me.
You should give it a go.
