The song you are looking for is from Enrique Granados. But I dont think a tab is around for this song. I will tab it if I can get ahold of a MIDI or the sheet.

If you are looking in the future for classical tabs, go here:
http://alt.venus.co.uk/weed/music/classtab/welcome.htm

Here you will find over 750 songs tabbed and about 6 from Granados but not the one you seek.

Sorry I could not be of more help.
WHat part of Oregon?

Thanks, Johnny. What is a "MIDI"? I'll be glad to get it for you if you can tell me what it is and where to get it. Same goes for the sheet music, which I would buy for you if you know of a good source. It's a long piece, 5:24, but much of it is repeated. What would you charge me to do a TAB? I'd be glad to pay you for your time and expertise.

See you live in Portland. I am fromWest Linn with an office in Wilsonville.

Check out this link:

There may be a midi as well as a tab of the piece for which you are looking, however the title does not exactly match what you wrote so it may be a different piece.

Don't forget to also check out his "composers" page for lots of other guitar music.

I would not charge you anything, I do it for fame and fortune (not to mention the ladies!!!)

A MIDI is a musical interface file that can be played with windows media and sound like old Nintendo game songs. They are useful to get the jist of melody and tempo. There are a few programs that can open MIDI files and automatically convert them to sheet or tab, and while they may be unplayable (wrong positions and whatnot) give a great foundation to start from.

Here is an example MIDI:

There is a problem with your request however, as Villanesca is listed as Op. 37 No. 4, let me know if this is the song you want. They do have a MP3 to check at the site the M.Step. listed.

I just purchased a Narciso Yepes CD that has this song, "Danzas Espaņolas for piano, Op. 37: No. 4, Villanesca" by Enrique Granados.

Wow, I can really understand why you want to play it. What a playful piece! (except for the middle section, that is)

It is now on my "List", but will be sometime next year before I get to it as I try to be disciplined about learning pieces and there are several in line ahead of it.
