i received word from the n.y. dealer of galli strings that very soon the tension of the galli strings on the package will show a decrease in lbs/kg. the strings remain the same but they will be measured on a 650mm scale rather than the 660+mm currently used. d'addario measures their strings on a 648 scale. the dealer, who is an engineer, measured galli normal tension versus d'addario normal tension strings and found the galli normal tension to be a little LESS than d'addario in his measurements.

so you galli folks out there enjoy. 8) and for you that do not like the bass strings, you can get galli trebles only and match them with bass strings of you choice. for my classical guitar i use hannabach 815 basses with the galli normal trebles. just type in that magic word into your search engine: Stringsbymail.
and no, i do not work for them or have any financial involvement. it is just a great place to get what i want with respect to strings.

I concur w/ Keith - they are excellent to deal with.

Second the opinion. Nice man with more than fair prices.

Even though Galli's have been discussed elsewhere, I just have to pitch them again and say that on my GV Rubio they are simply unparalelled. I'm testing out a Corum Alliance bass/Galli treble combo for comparison, but have been very satisfied with Galli basses, too.

very good news the Galli work very well on my guitar , but i would like a little softer feeling on the string for vibrato, legato, playingstyles where a softer string gives more responce.
