Great!!! One important question: Is this a non-smokers' or smokers' cruise?

Great!!! One important question: Is this a non-smokers' or smokers' cruise?
Good question. I didn't give that much thought but having been on CG cruise #1, I don't recall seeing any one smoking.. I quit smoking about 30 years ago and am easily grossed out at the smell of a room that has been smoked in. I noticed no such smell in my cabin or anywhere else on the ship so I kind of think it must be a NO SMOKING SHIP!

Two more questions:
1- Isn't it hurracane season during this cruise?
2- If a luthier wants to donate a guitar (to get his/her name around) like Kenny Hills did, what does he/she need to do? Just asking!

1-)Wouldn't know about hurricane season but last years cruise was a month later and the weather was gorgeous for the whole week.
2-) go to www.classicalguitarcruise.com and click the "Contact Us" option.
a guy named Dave should be able to answer all your questions.

pepe: it is rare if not almost unknown that a hurricane would occur in the pacific off of california/mexico although hurricane agath is out there now (if you really wanna call that wimpy thing a hurricane) but the cruise is in autumn--which is hurricane season in the atlantic. i would not worry about a hurricane over in that ocean.
as to smoking--i bet it is like everywhere else--wanna puff, you gotta go to the smoking area. they probably have the smoking area in the crow's nest. wanna puff? gotta climb.
personally, i would worry more about stomach aliments--cruise ships are notorious for having major outbreaks of gastro-intestinal viral and bacterial aliments. kinda of difficult to perfect that tremelo when your guts are doing their own version of a tremelo.
and then, ey matey, there are those rascally pirates.....

I had the 7-day cruise down to Mexico few years ago in the Kmart of the cruises (wanna guess who?). Nobody respected the NO-smoking signs, and when I called the attention to the employees, they did not care. They only said: move to another place. Certain segment of the people were very rude and it was impossible to use the pool. They also stole my and my son's underwear (yes, dirty underwear) from the luggage (they were in the only place with no lock - only a zipper of the luggage - I thought: Nobody is going to steal dirty underwear!! - but they did). Now, knowing that classical guitar players are exemplary individuals (seriously), I bet you those problems will not exist, but you never know!. By the way, one stop at Cabo was cancelled because there was a hurricane (you are right, it was a big storm that they called hurricane, but the waves moved so much that we could not get to the boats to take us to Cabo).
