my guitar repair man just dressed the nut on my cheap Takamine classical guitar. He said he replaced the treble strings with some he had lying around. The 1st string is yellow. When I asked him what it was, he didnt know; but it sounds really good; does anybody know what brand this would be? Btw, the 2nd and 3rd strings are not the same maker.
Thanks, henry

if it looks like champagne, then it is probably a hannabach flamenco string (827). if it looks gold yellow, it is probably a hannabach goldin (725). you can get these strings at stringsbymail (add your own .com)

Timely mention of Hannebach 827. Here we go again with that tension dilemma. Tried the 827 med on a 650 blanca. They sound great but seem to have a lot of tension for medium. I have the 827 low tension set which I will compare soon. The gold (or champagne) color isn't my favorite but these strings work well on this blanca.
Anyone have similar experience with the Hannebach 827's?
