I've seen dicussions related to practice guitars posted on this forum. Here's a new product I think offers some great features. Check it out:

Hey, I have one of these and play it every morning, playing mostly excersises, scales and such. My wife really likes this guitar because it does not make a lot of noise.

I used to use the headphones, but now I play it as is. It is loud enough for me to hear if I am nailing the notes or not. The bridge is adjustable, so it can be raised or lowered to suite ones playing style.

I have also found that it records well with some EQ tweaking, but it does not have the richness of a real classical guitar - but it is great if there is a lot of background noise or metronome noise that you do not want recorded. Also, thru an acosutic amp it has a bit of a metallic sound and it can be hard to play overtones well.

Overall, I like mine and would buy another one.

I have a few recordings with it on the link in my signature, but after listening to them just now I realize that they need to be re-recorded. Look for teh songs that have "Sinsonido" under teh "Guitar" column. Nothing like visiting the past to realize that one really has improved...I think "Water Sign" is the best example.

I also own a Sinsonido. I`ve had it for about four months now and can recommend it.

The only reservation I would make regards the sound, which is rather shallow, with not many overtones (reminds me of the Ovation guitars of the 1980`s, anyone remember?) In fact, I prefer to practice on it without headphones or amplification of any sort. The small sound that the Sinsonido produces naturally is quite enough for this purpose.

And it is very handy on trips, vacations, late at night, etc!

Well - I checked it out and it looked so cool, I ordered it (not from GSI - look around). Now I can't wait till it gets here. :D
