As would be expected, I am new here. I am also quite new to guitar, I have only been playing guitar for about 5 months. I've played alto/tenor/barri sax for about ten years when I decided I wanted to pick up the guitar. Right now I am learning classical guitar through private lessons. I have already written a few minor, minor pieces for classical guitar. I am currently writing a fairly major piece (along side with a my concert conductor) for a Community Concert Band. Like I said, I am new, so the pieces I'm writting are nothing spectacular.
Anyways I am a college student, who is majoring in teacher education, with a strong minor in music. That's pretty much it.

:D Hey Trav! I'm newbee & still learnin' Did you ever read the bio on a quartet(?) called "The Ventures"? circa 1961(oops-well I was only a YOUNG kid...)Anyway,I can see a similar background! Now that I think about it some of their earlier pieces did ok  Looking forward to hearing some soon .BTW, try to wangle a copy of "Guitar Freakout"(entire album) which touches upon just about every style available up to that point in hist.--1 cut "mod east" sounds like gypsies vs egyptians vs atilla the hun!--with your background I know you'll accelerate like crazy.---Hasta! JuBeV LRB  Remember Mason Williams?........
