my first videos ...
there are about 50 MB each (sorry for those who have a poor internet connection, my connection speed isn't that big ...but at least I dont pay for it .We have free internet in the university .)
in the first and the first half of the second one ....i have some solea....
I know ,I should play it slowly... it was just a rehearsal....very simple falsetas ....they are all in (or almost ...cause i do some kind of rhytm with tremolo, this is my way ... I'm sure that probably somebody did it before me ,cause is very simple ) Dennis Koster The keys to flamenco(book).
The second half of the second one ...I practice some compas for bulerias ....(I'm out of compas sometime :D )
In the third one I was doing a tune from a famous movie casablanca....a jazz theme ....not very jazzy the way i did it , but I was just warming up .
Todd, the falsetas please ....the solea falsetas ,bring them on ...I was suppose to do these videos ...until the fifth of dec ,but I was late as usual .
Anyway the files are all in avi fomat .... when u click on one of them after
u've downloaded , choose "open with" ...and choose your video player.
Compagnito ....waiting for your video or mp3 too ...
The falsetas in the solea

I hope it works ....Faya how's your hand ?
So that's how I look :D (I'm growing the beard like Tomatito :D,I'm trying to grow the playing too like his...but I thought I have a better chance with the beard )
The guitar u see is a reghin guitar(romanian factory ) ,it doesnt have good sound but I have extreme playbility ...very very low action ..I like buzz . By the way, next year she'll be 20 years old .
I cant do yet ,properly thumb rasguedos ...so that's why u dont see me doing one ....
Anyway ...send me some feedback ...some advices...
Hi Sorin!
Your videos are very large. You can find freeware on the net
that you can use to compress them down a bit.
I have broadband, so i have no trouble getting them
downloaded quickly.
But others will find they are too big, and take too long.
I'm so glad you posted the videos! I love to watch people
play. And i feel like i know you better, now cause i've actually
seen you!
You are coming along nice with Solea. Good rasgueados.
You dont really need Marote (thumb) rasgueado to play
a good Solea.
The guitar sounds ok, but its a bit dark. You could stand to
hit with your thumb harder. The thumb downstrokes should be
brighter, and louder.
Happy 20th birthday to your guitar! And the beard looks cool dude! 8)
Now that you've done a solea video, i will have to do one now!!
I'll post it tonite! :P

Sorin 50mb - you must be kidding, can you stick a sound file up & a photo? we can use our imagination then.
Could GSI set up somewhere to upload our files. I have a cheapo website but duh it won't tke sound files. Mine will be .wav by the way.

Go go go !!!
I also like people videos ,in fact i have this theory ...i think that u can trick with words but is harder with music, especially when u are improvising....somewhere in the middle of the improvisation u'll be your true self (i know ,i sound corny (is that a word ?)) ,and somewhere it will show how u think and feel.
ok,i'll try to compress them ...tonight.

U have the compressed files too now.
video 1 - 7mb
video 2 - 7mb
video 3 - 5mb.
I could do a much smaller version ,but I hope 7 Mb is small enough ...
I also have a picture with me and my computer ..usually from here I read the GSI forum.

We've considered providing a space for uploading files to our forum, but with almost 1,000 registered users, you can see how quickly that may become combersome. But stay tuned: I'm sure we'll find a nifty solutin that works for everyone AND doesn't slow down our servers.

That sounds great. I've got the same problem as i would like to post a soundfile of my first selfmade flamenco guitar. The videofiles are uncompressed also about 50mb each.
Without a solution on your side one will have to buy webspace on a hostserver to post them.
i would greatly appreciate a solution on your side.
thank you

Hi Sorin,
It took me about 40 mins to download, but the file has no file extension so have not been able to play it.
Looking forward to watching it though.
Cheers.

Sorin, sorry for the delay, i'm making the video today.
I think some people have downloaded your files, but they
need some sort of "codec" to play in WMP.
You might have to do some more research in the video codec
area. There's alot that can go wrong. :)

Paul ...where are u ? Sorry Drac, but my Juraissic X-1B computer/phone lines preclude me from participating in download but at least I can rely on the "play by play" & running commentary! 8) *##@*& --damn Jube
