Hey folks,

I'm new to the forum and hope to share ideas, techniques, etc. with other players. I have been a working professional musician for 30+ years. After leaving the GB, Folk duo, Rock 'n Roll scene in 2000, I have dedicated my energies to the nylon-string. I have played classical since the age of 14 and have never stopped. Currently I work in a Bossa Nova/Samba/Brazilian Jazz/Latin Trio called Sambossa. See my Web Site at www.sambossajazz.com.

I am on a quest to fulfill a dream - To play solo classical guitar in concert settings. I want to start of slow and will be hitting the free listening circuit - Churches, coffehouses, and anyone elso who will have me. I'm no beginner when it comes to playing classical but I am with regard to preparing for a "concert type venue". I am doing this for my soul. I'm not into trying to build a name for myself or anything like that. This is something I need to do in order to fulfill my Legacy here on this earth and to create something my family and decendants can look back to in quest of their roots.

So what am I doing here in this forum? I'm hoping to find some help from an experienced classical player(s) who has/have performed in a concert setting. Anyone who can give me some advise about appropriate first time concert material or structuring a "show". Anyone who can provide some technical advise on the execution of material, arranging venues - Boston or North of Boston, marketing, sales, radio spots, etc.

I work full time and teach. I have a very busy schedule, but I am dedicated to this quest and hope to ready my performance by September 05.

I look forward to any advise you can give and pledge to respect all who who wish to assist me or provide support in my endeavor.

Faithfully I go, in brotherhood to all guitarists and masters of the nylon string,

Yours,

David
