just a reminder that valentine's day is coming soon and nothing says "I LOVE YOU" like a cejilla purchased from stringsbymail. even if your sweetie does not play guitar, or she or you play classical, cejillas a great present.

here is a tip: make a necklace out of one. remove the peg and string and drill a hole through the body and run a chain through it

boy if that does not get you a wild night of romping nothing will.

Keith, Keith, Keith..... What have you been smoking? :D :D :D Are you single???

If I did that for my wife she would repay me with a minimum of 1 month in the dog house and sell my guitars on eBay.

Keith,

You could make them with heart shaped pegs and a red G string. Or how about a cejilla in chocolate? (along with the above)

cdikland: flowers are a given. but given candy only adds to the hips maybe a cejilla is the way to go. think about these 2 scenarios:

a. girlfriend/wife, or both: eats candy and then asks: honey, do i look fat in this outfit?

b. girlfriend/wife or both: gets a cejilla necklace and then asks: honey does this wonderful exotic cejilla make me more sexy?

so which scenario do you want to participate in?

What if all those glorious scenarios fail and she asks why you are giving her a gypsy birth control device. Ouch!

If I bought my wife a cejilla for Valentine's I'd be afraid of how she might use it.

Buy two. One for her and one for you. Get creative.

Most important, we must keep a sense of humor about this. It is a very important event.

Made my wife a handmade Valentine card a few years ago. She reacted like a bought her a new BMW .......

Kudos to NGiorgio for his personal creative approach to Valentine's Day!

Keith can give his honey a special cejilla because he made it himself.....
But the rest of you (mostly) fellows can play the guitar, so how many of you are preparing a special personal song/mini concert as a Valentine's Day observance?

You could light the candles, appear with a rose between your teeth (which you present to her), sit at her feet and serenade her....(use a CD/remote if you have to and pretend you're producing the romantic music on your guitar)....Then say those magic words: "Darling, I love you....even more than I love my guitar, even more than I love all of my guitars past and future put together. And if someone offered me a Hauser* tomorrow in trade for you, they could keep their Hauser!" (There must be one big-name guitar out that you wouldn't trade her for, so it should be possible to say this with all sincerity or at least in good fun.)

So now, I ask: is there a perfect Valentine's Day piece in the classical guitar repertoire....something like the Taj Mahal of guitardom?
