Hi everybody!

Well, I couldn't sleep last night so I decided to make my first instructional/demo video clip.

It's now available for download at the Lessons (http://www.perfdecastro.com/lessons.htm) page of my Website (http://www.perfdecastro.com)

I tried to keep the file size small so it may look animated in some parts but I think it still gets the point across.

Included demonstrations are that of the tambora and golpe as well as some of the percussive stuff I do for flamenco (Rumba, Zapateado), ensemble and other aspects of my playing.

Enjoy, y'all!

Perf, you shred dog. However I prefer this when I get upset and want to hit my guitar. Works a little better than the hand

:lol:

:::Sighs:::
no pick guard here - there goes the golpe idea!
I loved the info though - i'm very ignorant (ALAS!) of our flamenco bretheren and sisters techniques (other than ones used in classical), and this was a great overview! Rock on.

Thanks for the vid Perf. Some great advice and pointers. It is very much appreciated. I am looking forward to seeing more of your other instructional clips. I watched your perfomance of the Barrios Vals. It is GREAT! Very well done, excellent playing...and you aren't playing it on the ol' six stringer...does this make it much more difficult? I ask because I have never played a classical guitar with more than six strings (I might have played a seven string last year, but don't remember, but I remember holding it.) I am very impressed! Who made your guitar?

As far as the golpes video though, everything was great and very informative, but I was hoping there woud be a discussion of the technique to the golpes from the second movement of Brouwer's Elogio de la Danza. I play this piece and absolutely love it! Sure, the contemporary sometimes is hard to listen to, but just about everything by Brouwer is absolutely GREAT! (although the eternal spiral does give me shivers to listen to!!!)

Great work, thanks again for you video, I am definitely looking forward to seeing mroe teaching videos from you! It is very kidn to share your knowledge with us.

Thanks again,
Doug.
