I have a room that I am going to setup as a dedicated studio.
Does anyone have any info on room setup?
For instance.....is it really all that important to use professional acoustic tiles? Wouldn’t egg crate foam painted grey work as well and how many tiles will I need?
Should the walls be 90 degrees?
Should the floor have carpet or be hard?
Should I lower the ceiling height (from 8 foot?)

Any help will be appreciated.
I would just like to avoid problems in the future.

I wish I were a sound engineer. However, you can search for famous places, like the Lincoln Center in NY. I can see the panels in the back stage. For classical guitar, nothing beats the Loyola Marymount University music hall. There is plenty of wood. It has to be balance on where you want the sound to go and what sound frequencies you expect. etc. Again, I wish...etc.
