Finally worked up the nerve to go to the salon. Ready? 10 BUCK. Chinese lady, super nice did my nails up for 10 bucks, I gave her 15. She did an awesome job. I had to tweak them a bit and I think I figured out the problem. I make them short, Segovia style and I file like this. Now picture a finger pointed straight up. I then take the file and hold it on the finger and against the nail, pointing vertical as well, but more of a 70 deg angle or whatever and file. That way the finger hits the string and the nail hits the string after but not catching during rest strokes. I'm psyched, this place is 5 min up the street, nobody goes there at 6pm, just me and the lady, nobody to make fun at me. When I got home my new guitar was freezing to death on my farmers porch. Poor thing. Anyhow it's sort of a beater guitar. I got rid of my cordoba 20 as I didn't like it much. It was hard to tune, the action sucked and it was hard to play. This guitar cost me 1/2 the price of the Cordoba 20. It's a Washburn 80. I ordered it 2 months ago and the thing is absolutely unreal for under $200.00. Solid cedar top, the tuners are smoothe as butter, the action is right on, no buzzing, bar chords are effortless, there is not a scratch on it. The finish is unreal. I can't believe the thing was $200.
Honestly this thing is worlds better than the Alhambra 9c I had for a day and sent back. The only thing lacking is the sound department of course as these are built to be beat and it's rather heavy. But it has a solid cedar top and it sounds decent for a travel guitar. I'm never home as my wife is
always dragging my as* all over the place so this thing will go with me and I can keep my nice Hill at home. Welp, enjoy the porno folks.
