In looking for a new guitar I realized that I ought to also be considering the investment value of the guitar...

The last guitar I bought for $950, an Alvarez Professional, circa the early 90's, resells for about $200. I'm looking to 'buy up' a notch. I've been given some good suggestions, like a Hill Torres and the Loriente Clarita, or a Ramirez....

Any thoughts on a guitar that will hold its value well.... I like the Clarita for its value, but long term wasn't sure it would hold that value. Seems better to buy a Ramirez or a Hill that will hold its value for my next 'buy up'...

Thoughts? Other guitar suggestions would be appreciated, also.

Thanks.

Of the ones you mentioned, the only one I think would keep its value is the Ramires (if A1 or higher). Good guitars can always be sold for a better price if they are good.
