I read some of the older posts on this subject, but would like to poll the jury again...I picked up the parlour guitar that the make this week. I need something that will fit in the overhead luggage rack and this was the only guitar of this type available through my local music store. I have to say that, after reading the objections to it, I was pleasantly surpirsed. Granted, it's NOT my Ramirez, but, that said, it has a lovely, mellow sound and the sound is NOT "muddy" as I had seen it described in one post. Of course, it's not loud, but I don't need that. I did put a little furniture polish on it, but I don't think that would affect the sound. Or would it? Anyway, it seems to fulfull it's purpose and is fun to play.
Plus "wareagle" still has my dauphin.
Anybody else have experience lately with these models?
NEXT STOP TO NEW YORK!!!

I used to own a la patrie. It was a nice guitar for the price. I didn't much care for the truss in the neck and the neck thickness but overall, it had a nice classical tone. I thought it was constructed very well too. Mine didn't have one over glue, cut, bump or anything like that. My classical teacher at the time said it was an ok guitar but I should look into a Tak. Pffft... whatever.

I've owned a presentation la patrie for several years and I love it. I has a softer tone than my 1A which is perfect for parlor playing. The neck is slimmer but that doesn't present any real problems. For the price it can't be beat.

Post broken arm/wrist, I am finding the narrower neck a little bit of a relief. My "stretch" is slowly coming back, but it's nice to be able to rest the muscies and tendons in my left hand sometimes.
