I've been reading some posts in which you have been participating and just wanted to drop you a note to say I don't know what we would do without you and your patience and knowledge! (oops, hope my composition prof. doesn't read this board..****n-on sentence alert!!!)
Thanks for being part of this little "community!"
And that is, as they say in Germany "your word for Sunday!"

Selma: Do you mean me? I am really surprise. The only patience I have is to work on guitars. Knowledge? HMMMM. I bet you there are more well documented luthiers participating in this forum. I thank you for your kind words. I have learned everyday by reading this forum. Can you imagine, we can have our own Fernando Sor in this forum (I am talking abou Libre), a flamenco player with an un-ortodox sytle like Todd, who also composes; a professional like Perf_De_Castro; and some few more that I have discovered (which are professionals, but write under an incognito name). Anyway, happy mother or future mother's day!!

Hello Pepe
I'd like to express my appreciation for your valuable comments as well.
"Knowledge? HMMMM. I bet you there are more well documented luthiers participating in this forum."
Maybe, but none of them speaks so openly about most guitarmaking related issues as you do. Your comments helped me a lot to understand things better and i have learned a lot since i have joined the forum.
I know that you have excellent knowledge and i think most of the members of this forum agree. Don't care too much about people who bother with unprofessional and unobjective comments. Go on like you did. I'm looking forward to share opinions in many more threads that may come up in the future.
best regards
Armando

Ditto:
I think I can second (or third...) that nomination, I've always enjoyed reading what Pepe writes, whether on or off the forum. He has always contributed in a positive, self effacing manner w/o trying to set himself up as the final or ultimate authority...
Keep it up Pepe...
Phil
What can be said that hasn't? You're in the groove, Man!

I was with the royal navy of my native country. However, I did get my jumping wings with the USMC in Panama in 76. I will have to check the pictures to find out more about the guys there. At that time, I was working on a fragate that was decomissioned in the US and passed down to the royal navy. The ship was the Cordoba (formerly known as the US Waldron - the hero of the Battle of Midway) The ship was used to pick up astronauts from the Apollo 11 among other things.
