I have become a believer in using Garlic to strengthen the fingernails. I have been using it for about two weeks now and I have noticed a difference. Mostly, my fingernails do not fray as much – they stay manicured longer. Even after playing a steel string guitar they are in good form and do not need to be touched up to get the roughness out.

Before I started using the Garlic, I did a search on this site to find an explicit recipe. I did not find one that explained proper garlic technique to my satisfaction.

So, I am asking how those that use garlic use garlic.

Here is my technique:

Done every other night right before bedtime.
Wash hands and clean under the nails.
Dig the fingernails into the garlic clove, one fingernail at a time.
Rock the finger back and forth to get good coverage under the nail.
Coat the top of the nail by rubbing the dug-out area of the clove over the nail.
Remove the large pieces of garlic the get under the nails.
Let dry.
Go to bed with garlic still on the fingernails
Wash hands in the morning.

"Even as it begins, with the great strobing, pulsating, beacon arcing out across time and space; Illuminating the quadrants to an unspecified but harried concern....the "Tres Equis" are already attuned to what may be a "disturbance" in the force;

And so, whether singley engaged within the ramparts of some distant outpost, or in a nearer proximity to comfort all, the universe rests easy; As Galactus himself, warned by a lone escapee from 'out the nethyrs, hath gleaned but scant memorium of any sage and mythical tale regarding the theoretically combined virtues of an abilty encompassing rift shattering repulsion, and twi-dimensional containment;

Still, he has his *heralds test throughout the continuum; Avoiding any possibility of a trap; Better to dine unmolested by fate! says he who devours systems"-S.S.

AH! -there's "the flag" :arrow: "Before I started using the Garlic, I did a search on this site to find an explicit recipe. I did not find one that explained proper garlic technique to my satisfaction."

Sounds like a plan next time I need an excuse to sleep on the couch. Guitar and all the stuff I do to support playing already drive my wife nuts. The smell of me putting garlic on my nails at night would probably push her over the edge.

If I doood, I get a whiiippin' ... I dood it! [/img]

Funny, I never thought of the smell.

My wife is Korean and the smell of her chopping up garlic permeates the house several times a week. So does the smell of kim chee.

Garlic is a perfume compared to the smell of kim chee. :wink:

Don't be knockin' the kim chee. I love the stuff. My first wife was Vietnamese. Kim chee can't hold a candle to cooking with nouc-mam.
