Hi All,
I immigrated to Canada 5 years ago and my native language is Russian.
I am new to this forum, I am 30 y.o. and I've been playing guitar for 12 years: 7 years - hard rock, 3 years - classical
and the last 2 years - flamenco. I have a classical guitar built by russian luthier Alex Shiryaev: it has a spruce top and sycamore
maple back & sides. It has a nice sound, very open and clear but it is still a student model. I had the action lowered
to 3.3mm(low E)/2.5mm(high E) when I started to learn flamenco pieces. Of course I had to adjust all my playing technique
to flamenco: from tirando to picado, from p-a-m-i to p-i-a-m-i tremolo, and so on, and so on.. Very hard work.. but
I am starting to get my first results and really excited about it! Still struggling with fast passages.. I recently
asked Murray Morgan (luthier in Ottawa) to build a concert negra for me - it's going to be ready this April.
