OK..........i'll say this.

if the guitar was in tune it would actually sound pretty good! 8)

of course it could be the guitar too..............maybe it's a cheapo with bad intonation and that's all he has to play on..................which would mean he really enjoys guitar playin' and it doesn't matter what guitar he has.......and that's dedication, love for music, and just plain cool!

OK..........i'll say this.

if the guitar was in tune it would actually sound pretty good! 8)Yes, it definitely would have! The funny thing is that he played every note correctly, straight from the score. The poor sucker just didn't know how to tune his guitar is all! That, and the fact that he didn't seem to understand the chord fingerings and that it should have been played "arpeggio style." The main thing was the tuning, though. It really is hard to determine whether he himself was playing a joke but the sad thing is, he probably wasn't! LOL!! It's hysterical, really. Poor bugger.

Why would you post that? Anyone with ears would have erased that immediately. I was expecting to see someone that was really good and just a smidgeon out of tune when I clicked the link. WOW. My Barrios Julia Florida recording is out of tune due to the intonation and I detest hearing it.

I don't know. When I was a teenager I used to try and make "Stairway" sound like that on purpose -- so people would stop asking me to play it!

I've since changed my tune about the song and the band, BTW. Now I'm a huge Zep fan (again). Zep IV is the best record ever!

As an ex-classical guitar teacher who had hundreds of rock guys wanting to learn some "classical riffs" for years, I thought it was amusing as well, so...

LOL...me too. Did the same thing with the fade to black intro. I was so sick of getting requests for those two. I remember when I first completed Asturias, and tried to play it for a group of nonclassical friends, all they wanted to hear was fade to black. Played it with the 'special' tuning, and they still liked it.

Haha, i had my days of fade to black and all as well. Thats what I learned guitar on actually. Van Halen as well, but don't feel too bad for this guy, nobody made him put his own video up for the world to see. Thats part of the risk for trying to be glorified. Music is about training the ears too, but what a rocky start that is.

I've since changed my tune about the song and the band, BTW. Now I'm a huge Zep fan (again). Zep IV is the best record ever!I just had to add that for me it is Zeppelin III all the way! What an album! Definitely nothing against IV but Zeppelin III is my favorite Zeppelin album, without a doubt!

"Hello, I'm Coco Bundy, and I play flamingo guitar"
Funny. Mixed emotions about the videos really. I mean on the one hand, I'm like "ugh". However, watching those videos did make me feel a little better about my playing. Sad really.

I feel much better about my playing too. Surely it wasn't the people in these videos that decided that they were worthy of sharing with the general public....someone must have put them up on you tube to embarass them.

Wait, which one has "Stairway", "Rock & Roll", "Black Dog", etc.? That's IV, isn't it? Anyway, that's the one I'm talkin' about!

Anyway, that's the one I'm talkin' about!Yep, that's their fourth album, commonly referred to as "Zeppelin IV," although Led Zeppelin themselves never actually titled it as such. The name of this CD ("album" if your over 30) :) consisted only of the "four symbols" which were created to represent each band member. Led Zeppeilin III is the one with The Immigrant Song, Since I've Been Loving You, and a whole assortment of wonderlfy composed acoustic disonance.

Alas, the need for an off topic room still continues to show itself? We're incorrigible!
