How'd this slip by the geek squad? Or was it my shift?

It was with the Dammann.

His wife is pretty good about responding to his fans by email, if you ever feel like asking him something.

Thanks Folio. Wow, I never would have guessed it was his Dammann. The 1999 Giuliani CD sounds totally different from his Renaissance, Baroque and Bach CDs. Mic placement perhaps??? Also, I thought his Dammann was built in 2000…maybe he had another one.
Thanks again for your response…

Does he respond if someone asks a question about her?

As far a I know he uses a spruce Greg Byers on his Torroba and Giuliani CD's. check out Byers's site for more info.

His wife does respond well, I remember asking a question once and a got a answer back in a day.

Thanks again Folio – Maria confirmed that it was a ’96 Dammann. A very different sounding ax compared to his 2000 Dammann.

All the best,
Todd

Good sluething! honestly I didn't put together that the album came out in '99 and assumed it was the 2000. Of course, you made sure to ask her if the '96 was a traditional top or not, right?

Now, I have to listen again...
