Just wondering if anyone has seen a guitar duet arrangement for this piece? I know its for guitar and cuatro, however I think it would lend itself to a great duet.
Thanks.

I have not seen it, but I have seen it played in duet: cuatro and mandolin. Of course in Venezuela.

Thanks. The only version I've ever heard of the piece was off of John Williams CD Diablo Suelto / Guitar Music of Venezuela, featuring Williams on guitar and Alfonso Montes on the cuatro. You'd think it could easily be arranged for two guitars, though.

Just because JW has a CD w/guitar and cuatro does not mean thats what it's for.
It was written as a Joropo over a hundred years ago and is usually played with harp, cuatro and anything else someone can carry a tune on. So yeah, it will make a fine guitar duet.
Forgive my being a jerk, I just wish Williams had left his hands off this music.
Lucid, if you don't know someone with a cuatro, it sounds great just using Diaz's solo arrangement.

If you stopped talking this way, you would loose all charm whatsoever! :) If we don't keep some tenacity going on around here we're gonna start hearing snoring.

Blame it Tate!!!
Every time things get a little feisty, good old Tate pokes his nose in and disrupts the fun. I think we should nickname him, MOM!!!

hmm...yeah sorry. Well my excuse...? I logged onto the forum when I wasn't much of a classical guitarist...so now I'm much better and have better questions to ask and responses to give...as if I needed to explain myself. :D

That's cool. I purchased a guitar here in 2000, and have visited the sight ever since. When the forum went up, I stopped in and read somewhat frequently, but for some reason never joined or had a desire to post until recently. Now, I post fairly frequently, even when I have very little (positive) to say.
There, we've both explained ourselves. :D
(See MOM...I mean DAVE! We're playing nice!)
