Is there a way they can be turned off via one's profile or at least disallowed in sigs? I find it really annoying to have to view a large graphic advertisement at the bottom of every post by certain individuals.

Edit: I'd like to add that allowing off-site avatar linking lets people disregard the rules:

... its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.
Just ran across someone's avatar linked from myspace, it's 130x130 and 554K and it's animated!

Now imagine every member having an avatar and a sig image of half a meg each, all animated and blinking away at you while you're trying to read posts. I'm no longer on dialup, but I imagine a few people here are. :shock:

Edit #2: Furthermore, allowing HTML in posts and sigs is a huge security risk to the board. A meta refresh tag or a little javascript and visitors could be hijacked to another site or have spyware installed without their knowledge. BBCode is fine, HTML is not.

ppssstt!! Hey, 'Classi!! It ain't you, see?! ;)

"She...." has a similar effect...... on most of the fellas, so-- "not ta' worry!" :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

...."smaller...", has a "creepy" permanance to it...!

I believe in the "3"s principle; 'things happen in threes...;

'take this tri-fecta "perfecta" for example:

"Bigger....IS Badder!"

"Speed, do count!"

and...(although no animals were harmed)

Sandra - that's a good point, I was in Africa a few months ago, and it took a few minutes to load anything that had graphics while I was checking my email and other stuff there. If someone was trying to connect it would be a pain to pull stuff up. When I was using dial up a few years ago, I would disable graphics, but changing settings is a pain.
