Malcolm Arnold (1921-2006)

A composer of many great scores, not least of which was one of the finest guitar concertos ever written. Arnold also was a close friend of William Walton, whom he gave a good deal of assistance in writing for guitar when the latter composed his 5 Bagatelles for guitar.

worth a listen for sure.
