Manitas de Plata was more of a performing monkey than an amazing professional guitarist. He's actually somewhat of a joke in many flamenco circles. A little like Esteban.

The dudette, on the other hand...

I don't agree with you on the MONKEY,because Manitas was one of the best flamenco guitarists ever.I have heard some of his old recordings,and his musical feeling is no match.

That's fine - we disagree. I say there's no chance in hell he was one of the "best ever".

Please bear in mind that what you shared was your own opinion, which is exactly what I just did.

There's nothing wrong with a conflict of opinion - I'm not trying to start an argument. In fact, it may be interesting to cast a poll?

(Also, my exact term was "performing monkey", which refers more to how he presented himself, rather than any technical skill - this video is the perfect example.)

if manitas "did" bridget bardot after that performance, well we may not tip our hats to his playing, but we have to tip our hat to his "after performance performance".

LOL. "After performance performance!" That's awesome. Yeah, if you're as ugly as Manitas, you have to do whatever you can to get the girls!
