Hi everyone,
First post here so I wasn't sure if there was a better place to put this. I was wondering if anyone knew of any good classical guitar teachers in Vermont, I'll be home in Burlington for a few months and need to find someone to study with. I'm just finishing up my 3rd semester at Berklee, but won't be returning so I can transfer to a school with a better classical program, so I'd put myself between an intermediate and advanced level. Any help with this would be great.

Frederic Hand teaches at Bennington College. Although not a household name, he is well regarded as a teacher, and had taught many guitarists that have gone on to be high level professionals (one of them is Ben Verdery).

Hey man, you're from Burlington? I'm from Montpelier! Cool to see another Vermonter on the forum. Samuel Guarnaccia is up in your area, and he has pretty good credentials. Also, William Ghezi (not sure the spelling) teaches over at Dartmouth (kinda far I guess). Other than that, I'm not really sure. I study with a guy down in Boston, and am starting school in Connecticut in the fall. Paul Asbell is really good but doesn't know classical. Who did you study with in high school? Did you graduate from BHS? Anway, take care

Thanks for the replies. Hand looks really good, but he's a little far away from me. I was going to get in touch with Guarnaccia already, but it's good to hear someone else knows him.
cgram- I studied with Nick Caiano before, he's a great teacher but not a classical player at all, otherwise I might go back to him. And I graduated from SBHS. Who do you study with in Boston?

I took some lessons from Fred Hand in NYC back in the early '80s. He is really great, I would make the trek to see him if you can.
