View Full Version : GOODBYE from MICHELOB
Michelob
06-01-2007, 10:05 PM
I will no longer post on this Forum. Although I was fortunate enough to meet through it some incredibly wonderful people, I am regrettably confronting a realty I am not accustomed to nor do I desire to acknwledge.... stupidity and ignorance.
My secretary, whose nick name is Michelob, posted the original Complaint to warn about the Bellucci’s fraud I suffered, and I continued her noble effort, and eventually suffered and then enjoyed some lovely and educational exchanges.
However, I was reading Chalcoal’s aggarvated replies to the gratuitous insult he had to suffer, and NO ONE stepped in to simply remind the Folio or the Iberianwolf what this is meant to be... a Classical Guitar Forum. So perhaps it is nothing else but a sad laundry ladies’ gossip corner.
As preposterous is this may sound, I love Classical and Flamenco Guitar too much to share it with those who palinly play here for some cheap indecent and devious fun at the expense of others.
Chalcoal is a fine man, sincere and passionate. But he was pressed into a corner by the valtures who fly above this arena. I heard his anger and it saddened me, for he joined for the same reason I did... the Love for the Guitar.
Not nice, not at all.
I do not want to police this Forum. It ain’t my own thang... and I have enough! So for Chalcol and his honest voice that was suffocated by the stupidity of the Mob which I Must protest... I say Goodbye. I will dearaly miss some of you. But I am not pleased with the general failure to keep this Forum free from the parassites that it painfully harbours!
Goodbye, Giacomo aka Michelob

ohhh come on.... people are people and they will always be people. if your looking for a "guitar talk only - no humanity allowed" forum I suggest you open your eyes and grow up!... even if you open a "on pay" club humanity will be there. there nothing to do about it that the world we live in! why? cause we are all human... and there is nothing you can do about it. so if you have a problem with that maybe you should work on yourself before dishing this place...

Giaco:
Too bad that after going through the initiation process you are going to quit now. This forum sometimes act just as a public forum. You know the nicknames (but you cannot be even sure of that, like in your case Michelob was a woman first, then a lawyer. YOu must be a really nice person because the way she expressed her opinion of you was remarkable. Say hi to her and give her my appologies if I ever made her feel bad. She sounded so lovely and so loyal to you. She talked of you as a wonderful man!!!). Nickmanes allow people to hide their faces and be natural and open and truthful, and jovial, and joker!
Give it time to know the person behind the nickname and you will find that behind the one with the most childish and stupid post, there is great person who is maybe too serious in real life, that he or she found a way to be a child in this forum. You already know that. So, why leave now, when you know who is who, or almost know?
Now, some people cannot handle stupidiy or ignorance. I do. Others who cannot, come to the forum to correct everyone, to tell others what to do, to point mistakes like this is the University of Harvard for Dummies. No, to those who cannot "handle the truth", chill, cool down. Life is like a pack of cards. Some times we get the queen, but sometimes we get the joker!!
Tell your wondefful secretary that if I ever go to New York, I will stop by to say HI to her. She is a wonderful woman, and you a loyal boss!!! I will bring her some Coronas or Double XX from Mexico. Those are much better than the Michelob light !

Why is it the internet can foster some of the finest and most profound sentiments and interactions, and yet also have such a "polarizing" effect? I hope you'll come back and visit now and again Michelob.
Ciao, and best wishes,

Giacomo,
Although we have never spoken,I understand how you feel.
Please don't leave the forum.
Your comments as others (whether good or bad), are important to people.
I too have had some stuff here, but I took the high road appologized for past discretions and also stood up for others and have come back to put in an occasional reply.
Most of us are a family(la familia) here and do care-I do,
So please hang in there and stay.
Take care,
Jan

It is called globalization!!! You have people from the entire world reading and posting here!! (that must be great for GSI, lots of exposure worldwide). Thinkc culturally. If you go from California and go to Boston. If you go from Montana to California. If you go from the US to Great Britain? In the first two cases, English is the only thing you have in common (in the third case not even English is common), and still will have lots of cultural differences. For example, I went to London once and stayed at the home of a friend. Do you want to know what I found? They read!!! I was so surprised that after dinner everyone sat down with a book to read!!! I was looking for the TV. I do not know if they even have one.
Imagine now Swisserland, Germany (so tough and metric - I mean it in the nice way). Those are different animals. Big difference between here and there. Now, imagine a lawyer compared to a street musician!! The cultural gap is large. Or imagine a lawyer compared to a machinist, big difference, although I think Charlie does pretty good. That is an example of a personal effort. Just lets do not stay on our high horse. Lets get down to earth and look everyone on the level. Then we will be able to understand differences and accept people the way they are. We will learn to hear what people say, not how they say it. That would be the goal of every great communicator.
PS: Most of my edits are to clean up typos and poor English. Not to say that what I write is English

all those un-used order forms!! jokes on you!!
btw-still waiting for that honest answer.
you sure have a selective memory.
integrity bub, something you completely lack(look it
up in your books. remember you "were" going to tell us about them
books,when you
had time? not to mention "all" the stories about those luthiers(remember
you were going to get back to us?). bottom feeder.
hey, just calling it like it see it! right?

Michelob (whether or not that's really your name):
I have no idea what you're talking about - your secretary started posting, then you picked it up to continue his/her "noble efforts" and all along you're NOT Michelob? HUH?
I don't understand what you're saying at all, but clearly there's been some deception going on here, and it's not the "valtures" or the stupid MOB (as you call us collectively) doing the deceiving.
And furthermore, if you want to quit posting just quit posting. Telling us in a post that you're going to quit posting is like my saying, "I'm not talking to you."
If you want to split, just split, and don't let the door hit you in the as$ on your way out.
ya know.................after reading the first post again..........i'd have to agree with Libre.
since when are we, (The people who have been around this forum a LONG time), the "Mob"????
i mean sure..........we banter and give eachother a little crap once in a while, but in the most case we are very Honest and Open with one another!
AND have had plenty of "Passion" filled discussions.
well..............i tell ya.........glad i could give a F*** less what people think of me!!!!!!

Exactly! If you don't like it here, there is no need to make a grand farewell... just leave already! Don't be an emo attention whore about your leaving, and don't expect people to beg you to stay. If you want to leave, then just do it. I wish you all the best.
Yeah, I've bumped heads with others here a few times, but it's basically a pretty good group that really cares about CG and each other.

Ah, Sandra always speekin the word, I love your posts.
Michelob-don't let the lack of class and civility of the few destroy the collective wisdom of the many. I have only been a member of this forum for a short 2 years and have seen great wisdom passed between the members. remember that this is a public forum and while I don't defend the statmements made by some of the members, I will defend the right for them to speak their opinion.( I believe I'm paraphrasing Voltaire, but I'm not sure)

I have been away for a well earned break and have returned to read you post for which I am indeed sorry, but not surprised. I agree wholeheartedly with your comments and have appreciated your support in a sometimes hostile environment. As a newcomer to such forum myself I too am astonished at peoples attitudes on subjects they seemingly know or care little about.
There are a few to whom this does not apply, you my friend are one of them. I posted originally to warn others about a high profile 'confidence trickster' to whom I had been added as a victim, yes Mr. Bellucci. It was purely in response to reading your secretary's post on your behalf. Look at what that started. Certainly few and far between thank you's, just mostly indifference, suspicion and hate. So much for trying good deeds, you invariably get punished.
I like you am also weary of some of the fatueous comments and pathetic contributions. It is a pity that so few can spoil it for so many. I admit my initial passion turned to arrogance in the face of stupidity, but I stand by it. I simply don't need to associate with their like, here or anywhere else fo that matter.
This forum is a poorer place without you.
So, like ships that pass in the night - if you bother to even read this, farewell, good luck and just play that guitar, it will never betray your efforts.

The forum is a poorer place with both of you....
Let all this garbage die finally. Its cluttering all the quality music/guitar discussion that does exist here. The good stuff is being watered down as a result of half page posts with nothing but child like statements (no matter how eloquently stated) concerning nothing of use.
Ok, back to quality posts from luthiers/quality individuals that know their stuff....

Oh, give me a break. You're openly bigoted comments about the "lower orders" was disgusting, and people who don't respond to it are condoning it. If you're so damn superior, go raise your pinky up at some Little Lord Fauntleroy site.

This thief actually had the unmitigated gall to mention in passing and in a most flipant manner that he was surprised that I didn't claim... that HIS...."Martin"....(see link above)...was mine...
When I'd read that --due to our context--I'd been led to believe that he actually owned and played....
