What are the chances of GSI adding Paypal as a payment method? I searched all over the site and couldn't find anything about what was accepted. (Shouldn't that be included on the Purchase Policy page?) I had to actually add something to my cart and start the checkout process to find out that only Visa, MasterCard, AmEx and Discover are accepted. :( So if you see abandoned shopping carts, it could be just because someone's trying to find out what payments are accepted.
I can see that GSI might not want to take Paypal for big-ticket items, but how about a limit of, say, under $100? I would imagine Paypal fees are no more than credit card fees.
The reason I ask is because I have some "mad money" in Paypal. You've probably heard about those "make big bucks taking online surveys" scams. Well, they're not all scams and you'll never get rich, but some of them do pay a buck or two here or there via Paypal, others let you accumulate points you can redeem for gift cards or Paypal. Just checked my balance, and in the last 30 days I've gotten $37. :)
Like I said, I consider this my "mad money" to spend on little treats for myself. Whether it's strings, sheet music or CDs, I first look to buy from sites that take Paypal. Second consideration is always shipping costs, and a GSI email I received yesterday was offering free shipping and a free set of strings on orders over $10 with a code to enter at checkout.
SO tempting, but I'd rather spend my "mad money" than bust out my credit card.
