Hi Brian:
You could easily be the official monitor of the forum. You are doing a great job so far.

Nah. Nothing ever goes to waste.

I spent a couple of decades playing harp, and when I came back to classical guitar, I discovered that the harp had taught me focus and musicality...as well as opening me up to different kinds of music. My practice sessions are much more profitable now, and I'm less likely to tell myself that something is "good enough" and more likely to take the problem passage apart and figure out what's not working so I can make it better.

Welcome, and keep playing, strumming, twiddling, blowing, banging, and whatever else makes music!

Jeez, you sound typical of a guy on the intarwebnet who thinks he's talking to a real live girl.

google "her" nick and the domain she's promoting and you'll see she's joined forums far and wide lately just to link drop and try to get backlinks to gain page rank.

WTH Sandra??(bow included)
i was merely welcoming (what i thought was) a new member.
whether this person was a girl or not, never even crossed my mind(until now)
i don't do background checks on everyone.
next time i'll clear it with you, your majesty.
you are sounding like a typical know it all forum addict.
nice catch on a post i made a week ago.

also, no thanks for the insult of lumping me with internet weirdos
with ulterior motives.

btw-digits are fingers, get it, too cold to be outside.
warm them up typing, before playing....
do you even play the guitar??

Hello from Houston, Texas. My name is Sy Liebergot. This looks like a great forum. What a meandering path some of take to get back to our “first love”, the classical guitar. I studied CG for five years when I was in my 30’s, but gave it up completely a few years later. At the age of 52, when I had the itch to begin CG, again, I sustained the loss of my RH fingernail, so I began voice lessons, which continue today. Three months ago, I realized that my finger nail had grown back and that once more I had the itch to begin studying the classical guitar, now at the age of 71. I committed with the purchase of a Francisco Navarro Special Grand Concert CG (cocobolo sides and back, Canadian cedar top). So, here I am, struggling again through Vicente Gomez’s version of Romance de Amor, and loving it. I am studying with a patient teacher. I've discovered the Guitar Chair which has lived up to its claims. I’m sure that I’ll find this Forum an invaluable resource. For example, I am on the hunt for a CG compositions by Alvaro Dalmar.

welcome Sy, nice to see that the fire is still burning at 71, I just turned 60, and I really feel my best playing is ahead of me.
