Dave:
Please reinstate the guitar "sound bites" and enlarge, if possible.
I read somewhere herein, that these still exist, but no page dedicated for easy location. I have tried to locate guitars, not currently shown, by entering the GSI stock number, but to no avail. If there is a way to do this, it might prove helpful.
Cheers,
Curtis

Curtis,
We will do both. Several years ago, we even had some videos. We found that this wasn't scalable at the time and dropped it. However, it was cool and we want to get back to more multi-media.
To do this we will have to make structural changes to the GSI site. It is much less flexible than our old site and we don't like this. Yesterday, we decided to rebuild with this flexibility in mind.
One of the big challenges at GSI is the number of guitars which flow in and out and they rate the do so. As a business, this is a good problem to have. For building community, it makes things difficult. We are looking for a compromise of allowing guitars to move at their natural rate, while giving us the time to record and better document them.
We also want to provide entertainment and learning tools for our visitors. This has always been one of the missions of GSI, but from time to time this has gotten lost in the hustle-bustle of doing business. Due to your suggestions and those of others, we realize we need to (and will) go back to basics.
Thanks very much for participating in the forum and for the suggestions.

Tim, that is great! but does that mean the forum will change as well? we are just getting used to it and I feel another change could be devastating to the community.

No, the forum will not change. In fact, the new site is being built by the same programmer that built the forum. New posts will appear on the front page again, and we will be able to recreate TeacherNet, a GSI Calendar, substores for our customers who have product to sell, etc.
All this will take time, but we believe we finally have the right person to help us create our site as we would like it. Last few years were pretty tough from a web development point of view.

Dear Tim,
Thanks for your reply to my inquiry and please accept my apology for my late response herein.
FWIW, I also believed "TeacherNet" was an excellent feature.
Sincerely,
Curtis
