I had the oppurtunity to hear Brian (Loust777) play La catedral this weekend and I thought it was worth pointing out on here that his playing of the first two movements is second to none I have heard. He plays it flawlessly and very artistically. We had a very good time and look forwad to getting together again soon.

Yo locust, I wanna hear this now. You should post a recording, man. A good 'catedral' is always nice to hear.

Yes, it's nice to hear the Barrios obsession is bearing fruit.;)

Hey Rowdy, thanks for the compliment, man!

I especially enjoyed Rowdy's Capricho Arabe and really loved the new Sabicas piece he's working on also! It was really fun getting together to show one another what we're all working on.

And thanks to the rest of you, for your encouragement, as well. I'll be posting video up on my web site and to my MySpace soon which will have mediocre audio quality and then will be recording sometime in the (near?) future. As far as posting links on here is concerned, I find this place to be a little bit ridiculous when it comes to that. Some people, I guess, (especially those who don't get together with other players and don't have an instructor of their own) use this forum as a place to get their technique critiqued. It seems to me that the people doing the critiquing relish in doing so as to boost their own egos. This is the kind of place where Ana Vidovic can get thrown under the bus. Nevertheless, when I get my stuff up and running, I'll start including my web address in my signature for anyone who would like to see and hear me play. I, myself, see myself as "lower than whale excrement" as a player and this is the motivating force that drives me. Hey! That was good! I think I should use this as my new signature!

Cheers,
Brian H.
