Description

This guitar was built in Munich in (what was at the time) the shared workshop of both Edmund Blochinger and Fritz Ober, two makers who of course went on to have illustrious careers as independent guitar makers over the past 30 years. It is built in the traditional style largely drawing on Torres and Hauser I. The sound is both "old-world" in character with a loose, open and warm sound and is immensely charming. At the same time it is also very bold and clear. Materials used on this instrument are gorgeous - the dramatic grain patters and color in the CSA rosewood back, and the gorgeous piece of aged spruce on the soundboard make it as beautiful in appearance as in sound. Condition is excellent with one expertly repaired crack on the back done by Pepe Romero Jr. This is otherwise a fantastic and "classic" guitar in every way.
