Connecticut Guitar Festival Will Feature Both Virtual and In-Person Events This Year.
The 2022 edition of Connecticut Guitar Festival is back this year with both in-person and virtual events. The festival will take place from March 11-13, and will feature concerts of internationally acclaimed artists, discussion panels, educational opportunities, and masterclasses.
On March 11th, participants will have the opportunity to attend a GuitarX Talk, a global discussion about classical guitar topics hosted by Mak Grgic. These discussion panels will be held each day during this festival. In the evening, we’ll have a chance to attend a Global Kick-off Concert of Paul Galbraith, Adam Levin, Adam Del Monte, and Leandro Pellagrino. Everyone will find something interesting on that night since each of the artists represent a different style of classical guitar playing.
In the afternoon of the second day, we’ll have a chance to hear students from Benjamin Verdery’s guitar studio who’ll present music by Bach, Barrios, Assad, Jose, Berkley and more. In the evening Factory Underground will present a diversity concert.
On the final day of the festival, we’ll hear mentor/mentee performances of Connecticut guitar students and their teachers in a concert of classical music and pop arrangements. The festival will close with a concert of Amadeus Schmutzinberry, a fictional character invented and portrayed by Rami Vamos.
