Guitar Foundation of America has announced the finalists of their 2021 International Concert Artist Competition – one of the most prestigious classical guitar competitions for concert artists in the world.

After listening carefully to all performers in the preliminary and semi-final round, jury members Denis Azabagić, Jeremy Jouve, Gaelle Solal, Meng Su, and Fabio Zanon picked four finalists – Lovro Peretić (Croatia), Marko Topchii (Ukraine), Xu Kun [Alan] Liu (Canada), and Bokyung Byun. You might already know one of the finalists – Bokyung Byun – from videos recorded at GSI! We’d like to congratulate all finalists for this huge success and we’ll keep our finger crossed for their performances in the final round which is going to take place in-person this fall, depending on any given Covid restrictions.
