Kling-On Stabilizer – Improve Your Playing Comfort and Quality Thanks to the Proper Stabilization of Your Guitar.

News

One factor that is often overlooked by many of us is the importance of stabilizing your guitar in your playing position. When we see a performer or a student who doesn’t sit properly it’s quite easy to point out that someone has a curved back, tension in the shoulders and hands, or leans towards the left hand. However, rather than simply trying to sit straight it’s better to take a closer look at a common root of this problem – lack of stability while holding the guitar.

Depending on the material that your clothing is made from, the guitar can tend to slide off our legs while sitting. Our instinct to prevent this from happening is to try to hold the guitar closer to our body and use our arms and sometimes even our right shoulder to secure the instrument in place. Practicing in such a playing position might be very harmful not only to our bodies, causing pain and stiffness, but also negatively impact the playing technique. Therefore, finding the optimal and relaxed playing position should be one of our priorities.

The best playing position is the one that requires a minimum effort to keep the guitar on our legs. In fact, a great exercise is to try to keep the instrument on our legs without using our hands nor arms. This is the moment when Kling-On Stabilizer becomes very handy. It allows us to keep the guitar in playing position, and free our hands, arms, and shoulders. This freedom not only improves the comfort of playing but also allows us to engage the power of the entire arm and shoulder in the sound production, giving us a better projection and bigger sound.

Finally, in addition to having an impact on comfort and playing quality, the Kling-On Stabilizer also protects the finish from abrasive clothing material. However, it’s important to remember that it can be used only on fully cured finishes that are 6 months or older.
